No student should have to choose between buying groceries and paying for classes. The UWM Food Center and Pantry is a vital resource for students facing food insecurity, and the need is growing. Visits increased nearly 42% between September and October 2025.
Your generosity makes a real difference. The pantry is entirely funded by community donations, and every dollar counts—a $1 donation allows us to purchase $10 in food through our partners. Gifts from alumni, families, and friends help ensure UWM students’ basic needs are met so they can focus on their education. Ninety-five percent of students who use the Food Center and Pantry persist to the next semester, and more than one-third say that access to the pantry helped them stay enrolled in school.
